2023 was a record-breaking year for Potteries Moneywise (PMW), Breaking all our key stats. Image shown Below.
PMW received £672,517.50 in funding for 15 projects in 2023 alone, including new initiatives with North Staff Carers, Leek Building Society, and the nationwide campaign Multiply, which aims to improve people's numeracy abilities through financial support. We couldn't have done any of this without the help of all of our funders. We also started supporting Staffordshire Moorlands in 2023, allowing us to reach even more households who are in need and isolated.
2023 was also a year of growing, PMW went from 15 staff members to 23 with numerous of new positions and promotions. Dan Pearson is now our Operations Manager, with Faye Price and Paul Pritchard now our Service managers and Amanda Hewitt who is our Technical Supervisor. All our new additions have allowed us to reach new heights and help more individuals in need.
Case Study - Women received over £9K in Financial Gains
We helped an individual who has just separated from their partner, She was Unemployed due to various medical conditions, seeking support and help with management money and A £3K Energy Bill. After working with one of our Energy Advisors, Her financial gains were £9,432.72 for the Annum and entitled to Reduce Council Tax and water bill due to her circumstances.

2023 also saw us launch our new website, issued over 150K in financial aids such as, energy vouchers & supermarket vouchers. Host or attend 71 events in our local community which helped and supported 1346 individuals.
What's Next in 2024
In 2024 PMW will continue to help and support people and households in need, trying to improve in all aspects of our services, we are also hoping to launch a Podcast so anyone can listen how to become more financial stable & our top tricks and tips to save money.
