Third cost of living payment to be paid in February 2024

The final payment of £299 will be paid from 6th February and will be paid automatically into your bank account

When you will receive the payment depends on the benefits you are in receipt of. The table below shows the dates based on the benefits you receive.

Benefit(s) you get	When you should receive your £299 payment
Child Tax Credit or Working Tax Credit ONLY (without other benefits on top	Between 16th - 20th February 2024
Any of the below (with or without Tax Credits on top) - income-based job seekers allowance - income-related employment and support allowance - Income Support - Pension Credit - Universal Credit	Between 6th - 22nd February 2024

Qualifying dates

To receive the £299, you need to have been paid, or have been eligible for a payment of one of the benefits listed above unless your universal Credit was reduced to £0 for the entire period of 13th November and 12th December 2023.
